The Clearview Landfill is located on Highway 27 about 30 km south of town.īoth facilities are operated by the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako. They accept compostables and a number of items for recycling, and have a re-use centre. James Transfer Station is located on Necoslie Road, off Highway 27 just north of the Necoslie river. The Regional District has a Recycling Brochure with other local options for recycling. James Bottle Depot, (Encorp Return-It Depot)accepts most beverage containers for recycling, and will refund your bottle deposits. The depot is located at 300 Dachun Road on the Nak’azdli Reserve. Please see the guide for details of materials accepted and pickup schedule. Nak’azdli Band, in partnership with Multi-Material BC, provides a curbside and depot recycling service to residential properties within the District of Fort St. For more information, please view the Garbage Regulation Bylaw. Pickup times are subject to change without notice. We suggest that you set your garbage out by 7:30 am so you don’t miss the service. Garbage must be in a container approved by the municipality. Residential pickup is on Tuesdays north of Nahounli Creek, and on Wednesdays south of Nahounli Creek. Garbage tags are available for $3.00 per tag, sold in sheets of 5 for $15.00.The municipal garbage service provides weekly garbage pickup for residential properties within District boundaries and more frequent service as needed for businesses. Any additional bags must have garbage tags affixed.
